2026 Official UCR Registration Fee Schedule
Unified Carrier Registration fees are federally established by the FMCSA and the UCR Plan Board. All motor carriers, private property carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and leasing companies operating across state or international borders are required to pay according to their active power unit fleet bracket.

What Counts as a Vehicle?
Count all self-propelled commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) operated in interstate commerce: straight trucks, truck tractors, and commercial passenger vans/buses (carrying 9+ passengers for hire or 16+ non-compensation).
Do Trailers Count in Fee Tiers?
No. Towed trailers and semi-trailers do not add to your vehicle count for fee calculations. Only powered power units (trucks, tractors) are counted in your bracket total.
Intrastate Vehicle Exclusion
Vehicles used exclusively in intrastate commerce may be excluded from your UCR fleet count if documented on your MCS-150 form or supported by state travel mileage records.
